Richard Mille RM 65-01 W1 Watch & McLaren W1 Hypercar

The Richard Mille RM 65-01 McLaren W1 is a limited-edition timepiece born from the collaboration between Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille and British supercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive. Limited to 500 pieces, this watch draws inspiration from McLaren’s latest hypercar, the W1, and showcases advanced horological engineering, perfectly in sync with the most advanced McLaren yet.

Housed in a Carbon TPT® case measuring 43.84 x 49.94 x 16.19 mm, the RM 65-01 features a split-seconds chronograph movement, the RMAC4, which operates at a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour). This high-frequency movement enables precise timekeeping, measuring intervals to the nearest tenth of a second. The watch also includes a rapid-winding mechanism activated by a pusher made from orange Quartz TPT®, allowing the 60-hour power reserve to be quickly recharged.
Design elements of the RM 65-01 McLaren W1 reflect the aesthetics of the McLaren W1 hypercar. The skeletonized titanium dial takes inspiration from McLaren’s wheel rim patterns, and the crown, made from Grade 5 titanium with a rubber coating in McLaren’s signature papaya orange, is based on the splines seen on the W1’s drive shafts. These design cues create a cohesive link between the timepiece and its automotive counterpart.

The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 is available through Richard Mille authorized dealers, with pricing upon request. Previous models of the RM 65-01 have retailed in the range of US$400,000.
